About our program
The Program Objective is to prepare the student to take the exam required for licensing. Students will be taught the basic principles of nail technology and professional standards preparing them to successfully complete the requirements for graduation from Polished Nail Academy. The student must pass the final exam in order to apply for licensing from the Florida Board of Cosmetology and the Department of Business and Professional Regulation and be able to work as a licensed Nail Specialist in the State of Florida.
The Nail Specialist program is designed to train the student in both theory and practical settings in such areas as career ready practices, safe and efficient work practices, performing nail services and the proper procedure and application of chemicals and products.
Credential Issued: Diploma
Minimum Satisfactory Academic Progress Requirement: 70%
Minimum Attendance Requirement: 95%
